What stays in the browser
VidPlay stores saved title identifiers, episode checkpoints, viewing-country preference and a short recently browsed list in your browser’s local storage. You do not need an account for those features. Clearing site data can remove them, and private browsing may not keep them after the session ends.
What a backup contains
A list backup contains saved-title identifiers and valid episode checkpoints. It does not contain video files, viewing-service passwords or payment information. Keep a copy before moving devices or clearing browser storage.
When another website opens
Poster images can be requested from TMDB’s image service. Watch now opens JustWatch for a title and country. Those services receive normal web requests and apply their own privacy practices. A VidPlay country choice is a preference you select, not permission to read your precise location.
Your controls
Remove a heart to take a title off My List. Clear a checkpoint on its series page. Use Clear this history on Recently browsed to remove that local list. These controls do not alter accounts or viewing histories on other services.
